 | Review & Research is performed.

status of the professional responsibility code and the legal malpractice
decisions of the state involved are researched. Independent Review and
research by Bucklin gives you assurance that your own bias is not
affecting the resulting opinion. We are available
nationally, but most interested in accepting assignments only in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana,
Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska,
New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas,
Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. |
 | Opinions in a
report form proper
for interrogatory response and
settlement discussion are prepared. Most of our reports have
a one page summary but are 50 to 100 pages in length, with citations
to critical facts and law. Our organization of facts and
themes in the case are part of our thoroughness. What is
important to you is that attention to both detail and summarization
pays dividends to you as an attorney in your preparation for
settlement or trial. |
 | Exhibits. Most
attorneys retaining us tell us we have made their job easier!
One of the ways that happens is because we devise and include exhibits in our report that can be used to
inform the jury what the case is about, and help them reach a
conclusion regarding the strength of our opinion. Court discovery rules now require an expert to disclose
exhibits that will be used in the testimony, and we customarily
prepare them with our report, so that there is no question about
proper disclosure and your use of them in trial. Importantly,
retention of an expert allows discovery to be pointed toward items that the
expert may sometimes tell you will be of use to him/her in forming an opinion.
